INSTRUCTIONS:

* This throwing method is optional -the buyer is free to use this method or other methods or multiple methods.

1. First re-hydrate the seed in a damp towel for 12 hours. 2. Combine equal parts peat moss, loam and some sand. Put the potting mixture in 3"-4" pots (biodegradable pots work well for starting seeds as the entire pot can be placed inside a bigger pot once the seedling sprouts without disturbing the plant). 3. Water the potting medium and allow the water to fully absorb before planting the seed. 4. Make 1/2" oval holes and place 2 seeds in each hole (next to each other but not touching or overlapping). 5. Lightly cover the seeds with soil and water a little more. 6. Place containers in a warm, sunny place (sunny south or west-facing window if starting indoors). Full-sun: 8+ hrs of full-sun/day. 7. Keep soil moist but NOT soggy to avoid rot. ** Germination can take up to 2 months. **

HARDENING OFF (this step is only necessary if starting seeds indoors): This is the final step before planting your seedlings outside. It is a 7 - 14 day transition period that helps the tender seedlings adjust to outdoor conditions. On the first day, put seedlings in a protected location out of direct sun and wind for 1-2 hours then bring them back indoors. Each day, leave them outdoors longer and gradually move them into more exposed areas while checking the soil moisture frequently.

Buyers are free to use their own growing method. Please be patient as the germination of Pomelo seeds can take up to 2 months. It's important that the buyer understands that seeds are perishable items that can be adversely affected by too much/ too little moisture, pests, disease, too much/ too little sunlight, and other factors which are out of the seller's control. I can not guarantee results.

PLANTING POMELO: You can grow pomelo if you live in a tropical or subtropical climate or in a greenhouse. Be patient though, as it can take up to 8 years for a pomelo tree to give way to fruit. Plant in an area where the tree will receive full sun. The tree isn't too picky when it comes to the type of soil it will grow in. It will thrive in clay, loam, or sand, with a highly acidic and highly alkaline pH. Regardless of what type of soil you're growing pomelo in, make sure that you provide it with good drainage. Keep the area around the tree free of grass, weeds, and debris. This will prevent disease. Fertilize with a citrus fertilizer according to package instructions. Pomelo trees can grow up to 24 inches per season and can live 100-150 years, reaching a height of 25 feet. So now that you know how to grow pomelo, it's time to roll up your sleeves and get to planting!
